Shelley Peace

Shelley Peace of 252 Mountain Road, Halifax, VA died Sunday, January 2, 2010 at her home. She was born in Henderson, NC on October 19, 1952 and was 58 years old at her death. She was the daughter of the late Crawford Grandy Peace, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Yvonne Nichols Peace. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Halifax, VA, the Halifax Women's Club, and was an active volunteer with the American Red Cross serving most recently those affected by the New Orleans and Mississippi disasters. She was recently awarded an Honor Award for Special Volunteer Service from the American Red Cross, Halifax County/Charlotte County Chapter for her valiant efforts and giving so tirelessly of her time for the Red Cross, one of only 4 locally to receive this award. She loved travel, flowers, entertaining, acting, and most of all, her family, friends, and her daughter, Mary Peace.
