Alfred "Mickey" Michael Slingo

SP 5 Alfred Michael (Mickey) Slingo, 77, a U.S Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War, passed away on November 15, 2025. Mickey was born March 30,1948 in South Boston, VA to Donald A. Slingo and Ethel A. Slingo. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Fred M. Slingo. He is survived by his brother Robert F. Slingo, many nieces and nephews, and those who cared for him at the “Green House” unit 205 at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Center.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 12:30 P.M. at Halifax Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3211 Halifax Rd. South Boston, VA with the Rev. Thad Decker officiating.
