Anna-Maria Paleologos Rose

Anna-Maria Paleologos Rose, 64, of South Boston, VA passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 surrounded by love under Hospice care.

She was born on May 27, 1962 in Manhattan, NY to Nellie Pinkham Paleologos and the late Nicholas Paleologos Sr.

She was educated in the Salisbury city schools and attended Salisbury High school in NC.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gregory and Nicholas Paleologos Jr., her Auntie Leona Carlton, her maternal grandparents, Edward and Lois Elizabeth Pinkham, her paternal grandparents, Haralambos and Anastasia Paleologos.

Anna-Maria is survived by her children, Carrie Elizabeth Causey Liapis of Clemmons, NC, Nicholas Gray Pass (Desiree) of Clemmons, NC, David Christopher Rose (Sydney) of South Boston, Fallon Nicole Rose of Henderson NC, and stepdaughter, Ashley Rose of South Boston, V.A. Her grandchildren Tyler Goodman, Stefano, George II, and Alexander Liapis, Braxton and Nick Pass, Sophia, Lilliana, Lucille, and Lana Rose, Ben, Elijah, Max, KJ, Camden, Jordan, and Paisleigh. Her mother, Nellie Pinkham of Salisbury, NC. Her sister Kaloni Paleologos Brincefield (James) of Salisbury, NC. Her nieces and nephews, Aaron, Hali (Jake), Zachary (Carly) and Sara (Michael). Special friends, Elizabeth Black and Deborah Rudder of South Boston.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 19th, 2026 at Powell Funeral Home in South Boston, VA. Viewing will be at 3pm and a service will follow at 4pm.
