Annie Barksdale Wallace

Annie B. Wallace of Halifax Co., passed away peacefully on June 25, 2020 at Berryhill Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in South Boston VA at the age of 80 yrs. old.  She was born March 21, 1940.  She was the daughter of late Richard T. Barksdale and Irene Tanksley Barksdale.  She was married to the late Prince A. Wallace Sr. for 60 years.

Mrs. Wallace was of the Baptist faith.  She worked at Tultex Corporation and Daystrom Furniture Manufacturing in her early years.  Mrs. Wallace was a retired employee with Burlington Industries in Halifax Va.  She will be remembered by many for her love of softball and bowling.  She loved music and dancing with her husband.  She loved spending time in the garden and canning vegetables.

A memorial service will be held at Powell Funeral Home Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 3pm with Pastor Daniel Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of Buddy and Amy Campbell at 1045 Leigh McKay Trl., South Boston VA.
