Aubrey Daniel Lowery

Aubrey Daniel Lowery of Virgilina passed away August 2, 2025 at the age of 91. He was born in Virgilina, VA on July 7, 1934 to the late James Evie Lowery and the late Annie Cole Lowery.

Aubrey was a man of strong Christian faith who read his Bible daily. He found great joy working with the land as a tobacco and cattle farmer; and enjoyed deer and turkey hunting.

He leaves behind his children, Angela Lowery of Norcross, GA, Tony Lowery and Chris Lowery both of Texas; three grandchildren, Stephanie Kolb (Aaron) of Atlanta, GA, Tyler Kay (Jill) of Pooler, GA, Hunter deJong of Atlanta, GA; three great grandchildren, Atlas Kolb, Wrenna Kolb and Ezra Kay. He also leaves behind his loving companion Peggy D. Marshall of Lyndhurst, VA.

He was preceded in death by one son, Danny Lowery.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at his home.
