Bernard Lewis Irby, Sr.

Bernard Lewis Irby, Sr. of Halifax, VA passed away December 13, 2021.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on June 11, 1936 and was 85 years of age. He was the son of the late James Wilson Irby and the late Lula Martin Irby. He was married to Antonia “Toni” Hamlett Irby.

He was a member of South Boston Church of God. His hobbies were horseback and mule riding at Mount Rogers, Virginia. He was very fond of his dog ”Skippy”.

A chapel service will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dave Webb officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at his home.
