Bernice Covington Conner

Mrs. Bernice Covington Conner of Nathalie, VA passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at her home. She was born in Halifax County on September 15, 1922 and was 99 years old. She was the daughter of the late Spencer Edward Covington and Bessie B. Conner and was married to the late Fulton Carrington Conner. She was a member of the Providence Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and was an Elder. She was also a veteran of the US Navy. She loved her flowers, especially roses and loved working in her yard. She was an antique collector and had quite an extensive collection of bells. Survivors include: Two sons Steven S. Conner and wife Betty of Nathalie Michael F. Conner and wife Diana of Nathalie Four grandchildren Jeffrey Conner and wife Amber of Ft. Walton Beach, FL Tania Powell and husband Duane of South Boston Craig Conner and wife Natashia of Bedford Eric Conner of South Boston Great grandchildren Kylie, Cheyenne, Corey, Joshua, Chris, Dakoda, Aidan, Landon, and Jordan Great-great grandchildren Zephyr, Alice, and Braith She was preceded in death by a brother Edward Covington and sisters Virginia Hardie, Cecile Lewis, and Pat Irby A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev.
