Betty Wright Cunningham

Betty Wright Cunningham went peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday August 17, 2020 at her residence in Republican Grove, VA.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on October 23, 1928 and was 91 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Wright and the late Gracie Martin Wright. She was married to the late Robert G. Cunningham.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Republican Grove.  Betty retired as the owner and cook of Crescent Restaurant in Brookneal, Va. She was at her happiest when she cooked, read and worked in her garden. Her beautiful life and love will be forever cherished by her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Republican Grove Church with the Rev. Zak Ford and Rev. Shelton Miles officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery. In keeping with CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, wearing mask and social distancing are suggested.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 20, one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at her home.
