Bonnie Duffey Dunkley

Bonnie Duffey Dunkley of Scottsburg, VA passed away October 24, 2022. She was born in Halifax County, VA on November 4, 1950 and was 71 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Preston Davis Duffey and the late Cora Newcomb Duffey. After her mother’s death she was raised by her mother’s oldest sister, Virginia Newcomb Lacks and husband Samuel E. Lacks, whom she loved dearly. After Bonnie married James, the love of her life, she worked as a caregiver for many years and later retired from Berry Hill Nursing Home. Bonnie Duffey Dunkley is survived by: Her husband of 49 years James H. Dunkley Host of extended family and friends A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Clover Cemetery.
