Bruce David Hedrick

Mr. Bruce David Hedrick, of Greensboro, NC, passed away on July 8, 2026 at the age of 60. He was born in Danville, Virginia to the late Bernard Hedrick and the late Virginia Dishman Hedrick. Bruce was a man who was loved by many for his larger-than-life personality. He cared about his community and always looked for ways to help those in need wherever he could. He loved carrying on a good conversation with anyone and on any topic, always looking for ways to learn and to share what he had learned. Bruce also had a great knowledge of computers which led him in his career throughout the years, one especially a news anchor at Star News, Danville, VA. As a hobby, Bruce loved photography and capturing that perfect moment in time to share with others.

Left to cherish his memory are his nephew Andrew Lee Marshall “Drew” Granger and partner Austin Quarles of Halifax; as well as many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Hedrick Granger.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
