Charlie Daniel "Danny" McCormick, JR.

Charlie Daniel “Danny” McCormick, Jr. of Scottsburg passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025 at the age of 68. He was born in Halifax County on May 15, 1957 to Audrey Ford McCormick Redd of South Boston and the late Charlie Daniel McCormick, Sr. He was married to Sandra D. Francisco McCormick who survives.

He was of the Baptist faith and attended Ash Avenue Baptist Church. Charlie was a retired Maintenance Superintendent with the Town of South Boston after many years of dedicated service. Danny enjoyed tractors, farming and especially Ford tractors.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandra Francisco McCormick of Scottsburg; his mother, Audrey D. Ford McCormick Redd of South Boston; two stepchildren, Ashley Wright of Scottsburg, Aaron Cash (Morgan) of Alton; four step grandchildren; one brother, Douglas McCormick (Barbara) of Halifax; and special uncle, Billy H. McCormick of Forrest, VA

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at McCormick/Owen Family Cemetery with the Rev. Don Bryant officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, immediately following the service at the graveside.
