Clyde Douglas Estes

Clyde Douglas Estes of South Boston, VA passed away August 1, 2019.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on April 14, 1925 and was 94 years of age. He was the son of the late David Hailey Estes and the late Kate Irene Wilborn Estes. He was married to the late Estelle Hope Shelton Estes.

He was a member of Ingram Pentecostal Holiness Church. He served in the United States Army during World War II, 9^th Division “Old Reliables”.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Sexton officiating. Burial to follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens with Military Rites.

The family will receive friends Saturday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at 906 Berry Hill Rd., South Boston, VA.
