David John Fraser

David John Fraser, affectionately known as Colonel, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2023, at the age of 83. Born on February 27, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, David led a remarkable life filled with achievement and love.

David's military service was a significant part of his life. He dedicated himself to serving his country and retired after an illustrious career spanning 32 years in both the Air Force and Marines. He exemplified professionalism and dedication, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be remembered by his comrades.

Beyond his military service, David had a deep passion for tending to his cattle. It brought him immense joy and fulfillment to watch over them and ensure their well-being. His ability to connect with animals was truly remarkable.

Family was everything to David. He was blessed with an unwavering love for his wife of 57 years, Polly Doll Fraser.  In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Michael Todd Fraser and wife Tara of Phenix City, AL, Kelly F. Gordon and husband James of Halifax, and Heather Lyn Fraser of Halifax.  Five Grandchildren; Cameron, Gracen, Hunter, Mason and Denton. Three Great Grandchildren; Jaida, Jamison and Hoyt. They all brought immeasurable happiness to him throughout their lives.

David John Fraser led a life that was filled with dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to serving his country. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the incredible legacy he leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
