Edith Riggs Harrison

Mrs. Edith Riggs Harrison of Halifax, VA passed away at her home on Friday, July 25, 2025. She was born in Old Trap, NC on September 23, 1933 and was 91 years old. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Sawyer Riggs and the late Ella Hubbard Riggs and was married to the late Celus Gregory Harrison Jr.. She was of the Methodist faith and attended Oak Level Presbyterian Church. She also was former operations officer with the Bank of Currituck NC.

Survivors include: Two sons Keith Harrison and wife Jamie of Halifax, VA Kline Harrison of Winston-Salem, NC One sister Frances Riggs Atkins of Portsmouth, VA Two grandchildren Jennifer Lehman Christopher Main Great grandchildren Nathan Lehman Molly Lehman Daisy Main Special family friend, Cindy Thornburg of Portsmouth, NC A special thanks goes to Melinda Jones and her team of caregivers for all of their special attention. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Oak Level Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ronn McCracken officiating. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held in the church fellowship hall.
