Edna Snead Hatcher

Edna Snead Hatcher of Scottsburg, VA passed away April 11, 2019.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on May 16, 1933 and was 85 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Richard Walden Snead and the late Bessie May Moorefield Snead. She was married to the late Robert Edward Hatcher, SR.

She was a member of Fork Baptist Church.  She loved her grandkids and had a passion for feeding her family and friends. She took in rescue animals and nursed them back to health.

A funeral service will be held Monday, April 15, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Aubrey Heath officiating. Burial to follow in Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home from and other times at the home of Janice McKinney, 5008 Quail Roost Road, South Boston, VA
