Edward Brann Vicks, Sr.

Mr. Edward Brann Vicks, Sr. of South Boston, VA passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at his home.  He was born July 1, 1937 in Halifax County, VA and was 84 years old.  He was the son of the late Henry Vicks and the late Edna Vaughan Vicks.

He was of the Baptist faith and a retired plumber and electrician after 44 years of service.  He also worked at Vulcan Materials Company for 10 years.  Edward also enjoyed gathering with friends at local senior dances.

Two brothers, Willard Vicks and wife Angeline of Danville, VA., Danny Vicks and wife Carol of South Boston

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with t he Rev. Jack Stewart officiating.  Burial will follow in the Halifax Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 29, 2021 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of his son, Eddie Vicks, 8039 River Road, South Boston, VA.
