Eligah Granville "Butch" Seamster

Mr. Eligah Granville “Butch” Seamster of Nathalie, VA passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital after a brief illness.  He was born January 21, 1945 in Halifax County, VA and was 75 years old.  He was the son of the late Elvin Curtis Seamster and the late Nannie Conner Seamster.   He worked in some Public work but always farmed which was his passion.  His other passions were working on automobiles and going to races.   Mr. Eligah Granville “Butch” Seamster is survived by: One Sister Joyce Seamster Dawson (Cecil) of Halifax Five Nephews Kenneth (Aileen), Mark (Sharon), Bobby (Jackie), Ronnie (Brandy) and Frank Seamster, Jr. Eight great-nieces and nephews Three great great-nieces and nephews ***Preceded in death by*** Three brothers and two sisters   Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Dawson Family Cemetery.   The family will receive friends one hour to the service at Powell Funeral Home.   For memorials please consider The Halifax County Cancer Association.
