Elizabeth Bays Maxey Willis of Halifax, VA passed away June 30, 2022. She was born in Richmond on January 4, 1941 and was 81 years of age. She was the daughter of the late William Dabbs Maxey and the late Billie Bays Meade Maxey. She was married to the late Dr. Calvin Johnson Willis.
She was a faithful member of St John’s Episcopal Church where she served on the Alter Guild and a Sunday School teacher. Betty was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Berryman Green Chapter, Colonial Dames and the Jamestown Society. She loved the outdoors, kayaking, the beach, gardening, but especially loved her family and grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Father Timothy Jones officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
