Elsie Mae Doss Worsham

Elsie Mae Doss Worsham of Halifax, VA passed away April 8, 2019.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on February 17, 1926 and was 93 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Roy Richard Doss and the late Dora Martha Wilkerson Doss. She was married to the late Milton Lafayette Worsham.

She was a member of Dan River Baptist Church. She formerly worked at Wabash and J.P. Stevens and was a retired secretary at Main Street United Methodist Church. She also volunteered with the Good Samaritan, and was Volunteer of the Year at Woodview Nursing Home.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 2:00 P.M at Dan River Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. Private burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of her daughter, 2055 Golf Course Road, Halifax, VA.
