Evelyn Osborne Henderson

Evelyn Osborne Henderson of Halifax, VA passed away September 25, 2022.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on October 10, 1927 and was 94 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Claude Wilson Osborne and the late Virginia Jones Osborne.  She was married to the late Ned Carter Henderson.

She was a member of Oak Level Presbyterian where she sang in the choir for many years.  Evelyn was active in her community where she volunteered at the South Boston-Halifax County Museum, was a member of Wilson Memorial Ruritan Club and a member of the AARP where she enjoyed the fellowship and trips.  She retired after 46 years of dedicated service as a legal secretary for Howard Anderson.  Evelyn was an avid reader, enjoyed painting, and spending time with her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Oak Level Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Russell Terry officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, one hour prior to the service at the church and at the home on Friday and Saturday from 12:00 until 7:00 P.m.
