Evelyn Vernon McDowell

Mrs. Evelyn Vernon McDowell of South Boston, VA passed away August 4, 2021.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on February 27, 1922 and was 99 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Trogie Lee Vernon and the late Glennie Mise Vernon. She was married to the late Cecil Irving McDowell.

She was a member of Main Street United Methodist. After many years of service, she retired from Sovran Bank.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA with the Rev. Thad Decker officiating.
