Evelyn Redd Saunders

Evelyn Redd Saunders – Born in Halifax Co., VA on July 1, 1938, Mrs. Saunders passed away peacefully at home on January 22,2021 at the age of 82 years old. She was the daughter of the late Carlton and Dahlia Redd and was married to the late Paul Carrington Saunders for 46 years.

Evelyn and Paul opened their home and hearts to 71 foster children, over the course of nearly 20 years, forever changing their lives.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-mother and friend.

Evelyn is survived by:

Jimmie (Joy), Phillip (Tammie), Paula (Jason), Mike (Tammy), and Kim (Edward)

Fifteen Grandchildren

Twenty-two Great-grandchildren

Three Great-great grandchildren

Monroe Redd, Lorene Beard, and Ester Reaves
