Frances "Granny" Smith Whitt

Frances Smith Whitt of South Boston, VA passed away April 9, 2020.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on October 3, 1930 and was 89 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Willie Joseph Smith and the late Flossie Hatcher Smith. She was married to the late Owen Davis Whitt.

She was a member of Cherry Hill United Methodist Church, where she was a former choir member and a former member of the Cherry Hill United Methodist Women.  Frances retired from Burlington Industries, she loved gardening, her game shows and an avid lover of baseball.

A private graveside service will be held Monday, April 13, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Cherry Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Pat Neilson officiating.
