Fred Kent Bowes, Jr.

Fred Kent Bowes, Jr. of Danville, VA passed away August 26, 2021. He was born in Person County, NC on May 1, 1958 and was 63 years of age. He was the son of the late Fred Kent Bowes, Sr. and the late Louise Reaves Bowes. He was married to Kathy Crute Bowes, for 45 years, who survives.

He was a lover of work and his true passion was working with automobiles, and lending a hand to people in need. He loved his family and was a proud Paw to his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He firmly believed people should be given second chances and you are not defined by your mistakes.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Reaves officiating. Burial to follow in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home.
