Garland Mitchell Conner

Mr. Garland Mitchell Conner of Halifax, VA passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at his home. He was born in Halifax County on October 8, 1942 and was 76 years old.  He was the son of the late James Garland Conner and Nannie Francisco Conner and was married to Ida Hazelwood Conner who survives.He was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church, was a US Army Veteran, and was retired from Burlington Industries. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 2:00 Pm at Hunting Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Sean McGuire and Rev. Tony Sisk officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7-8:30 PM at Powell Funeral Home and other times at his home.
