George Edward Anderson of Clover passed away September 10, 2025 at the age of 73. Born in Clover, VA on September 19, 1951 to the late Charlie James Anderson and the late Delma Compton Anderson

He was a farmer, community leader, and member of Rodgers Chapel Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Lay Minister. George worked and retired as a teacher and FFA advisor from the Halifax County School System after many years of dedicated service. He believed in giving back to the community by helping with Mt. Laurel Ruritan Club. George was a missionary with the Southern Baptist Association’s Mission Board and spent a year in Zimbabwe. George’s passing will leave a void in the many lives he encountered.

Left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Nancy A. Warrick of Wilmington, NC, Linda A Conner and husband Ronnie of Nathalie, VA, and his brother, Charlie James “Jimmy” Anderson Jr. and wife Wanda of Clover. Nieces and Nephews, Lee Anne Warrick, Sara Warrick, Matthew Conner and wife Jennalee, Lauren Conner, Melissa Puryear and husband Stacy, Kari Conner and husband Dick, and Jamie Lindley and husband Eugene. Also surviving are a host of great nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Rodgers Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Aubrey Heath and Rev. Michael McDowell officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the funeral and at a reception immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
