Grey Chaffin Covington

Mrs. Grey Chaffin Covington of Raeford, NC formerly of Halifax, VA passed away December 20, 2024 at the blessed age of 95. She was born in Halifax County, VA on March 20, 1929, to the late Ernest Edward Chaffin and the late Mary Louise Brown Chaffin. She was married 43 years to the late Luther Joel Covington, Jr. She was a member of Winns Creek Baptist Church.

 A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thad Decker officiating. 

 The family will receive friends on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home.
