Helen Newton Rose

Helen Newton Rose of South Boston, VA passed away November 2, 2022.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on September 16, 1940 and was 82 years of age.  She was the daughter of the late Patrick Henry Newton, the late Mary Letell Glasscock Smith and the stepdaughter of the late William “Bill” Smith.  She was married to Buddy B. Rose who survives.

 

She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ.  Helen was the sweetest, most genuine, spunky, unconditional lover and was happiest when she was with family and friends.  “Granny Helen” had a pure heart and saw the good in all people.

A Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 2:00 at Church of Jesus Christ, 2028 Grubby Road Halifax, VA.

 

The family invites everyone to join in fellowship at Berry Hill Resort and Plantation in the Library at 3:30 P.M.
