Henry Clifton “Hank” Humphreys III, 69, of Halifax, VA, passed away on January 15.
Hank was born on January 25th, 1954 to Jane E. Edmunds and Henry C. Humphreys Jr. in Chattanooga, TN. He attended East Carolina University and graduated from Danville Community College with an Electrical degree.
Hank worked at Glass’s Auto Service for many years and had a love for mechanics and working with his hands. He was very proud of his restored 1947 Chevy pickup truck, as well as his home which he designed and built himself. Hank was fascinated by history and was an avid reader. He always had a book in tow and was ready to educate you in the subject at hand. Hank loved politics, cars, and the outdoors, but most importantly he showed a great love for his family and animals.
Hank is predeceased by his mother, Jane, and his father, “Buster” (Carol). He is survived by his son, James (Courtney); his sister, Hollis (Randy); his sister, Hogan (Bill); his sister, Kristie (Richard); his brother, James (Jennifer); his brother Holt (Taylor); his nieces, Reagan (Lynzie), Caroline, Lauren-Taylor (Copeland), Haynes, and Chloe; his nephews, Paul MacCarty (Mary), Paul Edmunds, Grant, and Hayden; and his beloved cats, Catfish and Spook.
A service will be held at a later date.
