Henry Paul Terry, III of Roxboro, NC passed away March 23, 2021. He was born in Miami, FL on December 8, 1957 and was 63 years of age. He was the son of the late Henry Paul “Bossie” Terry Jr. and the late Ann Victoria Spencer Whitt. He was married to Kathy DeJarnette Terry.
He was a member of Dan River Baptist Church. Paul attended Appalachian State University for three and half years. He attended and received his Associate Degree from Piedmont Community College. He worked at J.P. Stevens in maintenance with his dad, then was employed by the American Red Cross and then worked at Piedmont Community College as Administrative Assistant. Paul loved reading, especially WW I and WW II and anything military related. He enjoyed Professional Wrestling, golf (especially the Masters), football, collecting military memorabilia and researching the Terry Family genealogy. He loved to make people laugh by telling stories about himself. Paul will be remembered as a special, kind and loving husband and person who touched many lives. He will surely be missed.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Coy Terry officiating. In keeping with CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, we recommend the wearing face masks and practice social distancing. The funeral service will be livestreamed via Powell Funeral Home’s Facebook page.
The family will receive friends Friday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at, 1079 Holly Court, Halifax or his home, 212 Leasburg Rd., Roxboro, NC.
