Jack Robert Wiles

Jack Robert Wiles of South Boston, VA passed away May 25, 2022.  He was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on May 12, 1936, and was 86 years of age. He was the son of the late Armistead Y. Wiles and the late Odell Owen Wiles. He was married to Carolyn Everett Wiles who survives.

He was a member of Dan River Baptist Church and retired from the United States Army National Guard.  Jack was a longtime member of Halifax County Athletic Booster Club and volunteered 25 plus years where he served 11,418 hours with Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Dan River Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery with Military Rites.

The family will receive friends Friday evening at Powell Funeral Home from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. and other times at his home.
