Jackie "Jackrabbit" Wilson Satterfield

Jackie Wilson “Jackrabbit” Satterfield of South Boston passed away August 2, 2025 at the age of 53. He was born in Halifax County on September 15, 1971 to Nancy Irby Satterfield who survives and the late Carter Clifton Satterfield, Sr. He was married to Jamie Satterfield who survives.

He was a member of Willow Oak Christian Church. Jackie believed life should be lived to the fullest and he did so by enjoying racing go carts and Pure Stock. He was a master of “piddling”, and a jokester who loved to pick on his family and friends. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jamie Satterfield; his two sons, Tyler Gilbert of Lynchburg and Dacoda Gilbert of Lynchburg; his mother, Nancy Irby Satterfield; one sister, Ruth Oakes (Donald) of Sutherlin; and numbers of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carter Clifton Satterfield, Sr. and a brother, Carter Clifton Satterfield, Jr.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 starting at 9:00 A.M. at the home of his mother, 1188 Old Cluster Springs Rd., South Boston, VA.
