James Louis Davis, Sr.

James Louis “Jim” Davis, Sr. of Halifax, VA passed away January 14, 2022.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on July 25, 1943 and was 78 years old. He was the son of the late James Matthew Davis and the late Emma Richardson Davis. He was married to Diane Saunders Davis who survives.

He was a member of McCannless United Methodist Church.  James was the owner and operator of Southside security, Jim Davis Home Improvements and was a United States Army Veteran. Jim loved his tractors, Blue Grass music, working with his hands and especially loved his family and friends.

Weather permitting, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the McCanless United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Tricky and the Rev. Johnny Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at McCanless United Methodist Church.
