James Turner "Tree Top" Keatts

James Turner “Tree Top” Keatts of South Boston, VA passed away November 21, 2019.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on May 8, 1955 and was 64 years of age. He was the son of the Lillie Mae Perkins and the late Jasper Turner Keatts.

He was a member of Mt. Cana Methodist Church.  “Tree Top” loved rabbit and deer hunting, his Beagle Dogs and riding his Harley Davidson. He was President of Hyco Road Hunting Club for which he was a member for many years.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Dunn officiating. Burial to follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.
