Janice Violet Clarke Hankins Goodman

Janice Violet Clarke Hankins Goodman of Danville, VA passed away May 27, 2026 at the age of 83. She was born in Danville, VA on December 20, 1942 to the late Henry Linsey Clarke and the late Violet Estelle Hanks.

Janice loved to draw and paint and especially loved to read. Her passing will leave a void to all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Christopher Charles Hankins (Edith) of Rocky Mount, VA, Eva Marie Hankins of Halifax; four grandchildren, Brandon Solomon (Cat) of Indiana, Christian Lewis Hankins of South Boston, Jeremy Wyatt Davis of Rocky Mount, VA and Carol Halloren of South Boston; three great grandchildren; one sister, Gwendolyn Spence; host of nieces, nephews and extended family and her beloved pet, Bella. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie “Speedy” Odum and Joan Boyles.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
