Jerry Hampton Liverman passed away on Friday November 21st, 2025, at his home in South Boston Va. He was 93. Jerry was born on June 29th, 1932. He was a lifelong resident of Virginia and retired as a type setter for the Washington Post in DC. He was also an avid civil war buff and relic hunter. He had the voice of a true southern gentleman and carried the nickname "legs" throughout his life for his excellent pool shooting abilities. He was a man with a certain swagger that was all his own. His style always seemed to be a part of him rather than just the clothes he donned. He knew who he was and he didn't give a damn.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Jeri "Duffy" Smock (Shelby), son Dean Liverman (Tracy), 2 nephews David Liverman and Sean Liverman, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and his lifelong best friend Danny Rakes. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Marjorie (Bailiff-Bootsie) and Wade Liverman, his brother David Lee Liverman, 5 wives including Carla Goebel Liverman and Joan Dean Liverman.
In lieu of flowers please consider the plant a tree option. Jerry will be dearly missed but will never be forgotten. So much of him still lives in the faces and hearts of his surviving family and will continue to for generations to come
Arrangements entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, 1603 Wilborn Ave., South Boston, VA 24592.
