Joe "Bro" Goodman Green

Joe Goodman “Bro” Green of South Boston, VA passed away November 25, 2020.  He was born in South Boston, VA on August 29, 1919 and was 101 years of age. He was the son of the late Ernest Gray Green and the late Lottie Bell Rogers Green. He was married to the late Gladys Perkins Green.

 

He was a member of First Baptist Church.  Joe was a World War II Veteran and served in the Army Ambulance Corp. He was a lifetime Newspaper man and eventually opened his own printing shop.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Garrett Bowman officiating. In keeping with CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, we suggest social distancing and face mask.
