Joe Lee Carr

Joe Lee Carr of Crystal Hill, VA passed away October 6, 2021. He was born in Lynchburg, VA on March 3, 1947 and was 74 years old. He was the son of the late Sam Carr and the late Bettie Viola Fears Carr. He was married to Anne Sprinkle Carr who survives. He was a member of Ellis Creek Baptist Church and a member of American Legion Post 8. Joe served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Joe Lee Carr is survived by: His Wife of Anne Carr His Sons Brian Carr of Nathalie Steve Austin Carr and wife Jessica of Nathalie Five Grandchildren Joseph Cassada (Jackie), Ethan Carr, Austin Carr, Luke Austin Carr and Megan Suzanne Carr Two Great Grandchildren Lillee Cassada and Zander Cassada Two Sisters Margie Carr Rogers Hughes of Alton Betty Ann Carr Owen (Roy) of Graham, NC Host of Nieces and Nephews ***Preceded in death by*** Brothers Sam Master Carr and Paul Ray Carr A funeral service will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Ellis Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Alfred Rimmer officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites. The family will receive friends Saturday evening at Powell Funeral Home from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at 6191 Howard P. Anderson Hwy, Crystal Hill, VA.
