John "Jack" Edwin Palmer, Jr.

John Edwin “Jack” Palmer of Halifax County, VA passed away May 5, 2019.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on July 11, 1935 and was 83 years of age. He was the son of the late John Edwin, Sr. and the late Eddie Mae Harper Palmer. He was married to the late June Redford Palmer.

He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Merchant and Jim Kirkland officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home.
