Judy Ann Leach Callemyn

Mrs. Judy Ann Leach Callemyn of South Boston, VA passed away on December 24, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Olean, NY on November 19, 1946, and was 76 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Harold Leach and the late Virginia Rose Hebrock Leach. Judy was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and an active member of the United Methodist Women. She retired as an English Teacher with the Halifax County School System after 30 years.  Judy enjoyed being an active quilter and made many quilts and fabric projects for her family members and local charities.

Judy is survived by her sister, Alice Jane Leach Bongrazio; her nieces, Nicole Bentzley, Stacy Arrington, and Erin Szczurek; and her nephew, Frank Bongrazio III.

A memorial service will be held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Thad Decker officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery on a later date.

The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Friday for one hour prior to the service.
