Julia Dawson East of Halifax, VA passed away April 4, 2019.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on April 7, 1963 and was 55 years old. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Frances Dawson and the late Johnson Corbin Dawson. She was married to Brian East who survives.

She was a member of Mountain Road Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Rhew officiating. Burial to follow in Mountain Road Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 5 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home.
