Julius Riley "Joe" Barksdale

Julius Riley "Joe" Barksdale of South Boston, VA passed away November 19, 2019.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on June 3, 1938 and was 81 years of age. He was the son of the late Julius R. Barksdale and the late Leida R. Boyd. He was married to Margaret Wilborn Barksdale who survives.

He was of the Baptist faith.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd McClure officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home.
