Karysn Lee Hughes

Karysn Lee Hughes was born on November 7, 2025, to his loving mother, Josephine “Josie” Hughes and his father Malcolm Barksdale.

From the very beginning, Karysn filled every room with warmth and joy. Affectionally known as “Chubbs” and “Fat Man” because he was so big for his age, he was a happy baby, very loving—just as all babies are. IN five short but beautiful months, his tiny hands wrapped around the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Through his earthly journey ended on April 8, 2026, his love did not. His presence changed his family forever.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory; mom and dad; brother, Semijay Barksdale; grandmothers, Beverly Wade Hughes and Daphne Coleman; grandfathers, Kenny Lewis Hughes, Sean Coleman and Travis Barksdale; great grandparents, Jimmy and Joann Wade , Earl Winbush and Mary Winbush; aunts, Leah Coleman and Jasmine Wade Lundquist; uncles, Tristan Wade and Kaleb Coleman; and a host of other loving aunts, uncles and extended family.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Clover Cemetery with Pastor Mattie C. Carr officiating.
