Katherine Breedlove Compton

Mrs. Katherine Breedlove Compton of Halifax, VA passed away on Friday,December 10 10, 2021 at South Boston Health and Rehab. She was born in Halifax County on August 27, 1931 and was 90 years old. She was the daughter of the late Joe Breedlove and the late Isabel Cage Breedlove and was married to the late Robert Chaffin Compton. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from Leggett Department Store. She loved shopping and had quite a taste for sweets. She was crazy about her dog Rudy. Survivors include: Her son Robert Dale Compton Sr. of Halifax Two grandchildren Robert Dale “DJ” Compton Jr. of Halifax April Annette Compton and husband Ian Robbins of Norfolk Two great grandchildren Lachlan Robbins and Oonaugh Robbins A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Moen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
