Kelvin Ray Baker

Kelvin Ray Baker of Halifax, VA passed away June 26, 2019.  He was born in Nash County, NC on June 9, 1970 and was 49 years of age. He was the son of Jesse Linwood Baker and Dorothy Christine Moore Baker.

Kelvin enjoyed spending time with family, taking his girls fishing and spoiling his grandchildren. He was passionate about his career in Respiratory Therapy where he was surrounded by the most amazing work family at Lynchburg General Hospital and Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill. He was a giant teddy bear with an unmatched soul who had a smile and laughter that could light up a room. He will be greatly missed by all.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Coghill officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 28, 2019 from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at 1133 Dan River Church Rd., Halifax, VA.
