Lelia "Peggy" Arthur Martin

Mrs. Lelia “Peggy” Arthur Martin of Nathalie, VA passed away July 30, 2021 at the home of her daughter, Pamela Griffin in Clinton, NC.  She was born May 7, 1925 in Halifax County, VA and was 96 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Floyd Everett Arthur, Sr. and the late Lucy Pauline Chaney Arthur and was married to the late Earl Thomas Martin, Sr.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Millstone and was retired from the Craddock & Terry Shoe Company.

Preceded in death by one son-in-law, Terry Weiss, two sisters, Annie Crews and Edith Anderson, and by one brother, Floyd E. Arthur, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Millstone with Rev. Barry Fero officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
