Lenwood Grove Ferrell

Lenwood Grove Ferrell of Halifax, VA passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 5, 2022 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Halifax County, VA on September 23, 1930 and was 91 years of age. He was the son of the late Harvey B. Ferrell and the late Andrew Anderson and Hester Mae Alderson Anderson. He was married to his beloved late wife Shirley Church Ferrell of 63 years. He was a longtime member of Halifax United Methodist Church. Len served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and received a Purple Heart. He retired from Burlington Industries as a clothroom supervisor after 41 years of service. Len was also a member of the Halifax County Country Club where he was an avid golfer. He will be remembered in love by all who knew him. Thad Decker and the Rev. Bonnie Pizzeck officiating. Burial to follow in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rites.
