Mrs. Leola Foxx Link of Alton, VA passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 in Roxboro, NC. She was born in Yancey County, NC of April 27, 1937 and was 88 years old. She was the daughter of the late Charles Foxx and Sue Hensley Foxx and was married for 55 years to the late Earl Criss Link. She was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. She was a retired tobacco farmer and also was very fond of her gardens. She enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales. She was quite an animal lover.

Survivors include: One daughter Penny Link Bowles and husband Steve of Roxboro, NC; one son Charles Criss Link of Alton; siblings Doris Foxx Higgins of Burnsville, NC, Bruce Charles Foxx of Spruce Pines, NC, Bernice Rymer of Asheville, NC, two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her furry companion, Spotty.

 She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Judy F. Hayes, Marjorie F. Bowes, and Mary Louise F. Pate. A special thanks to her friend and caregiver Nancy Bowles

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating . For memorials, please consider a charity of your choice.
