Leonard Henry Crews, Jr.

Leonard Henry Crews Jr (Bobby), age 77, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior at his home, surrounded by his devoted family, on July 15, 2022.  

Bobby is survived by his loving wife Brenda of 48 years and his daughter Amy Jackson of Halifax, VA; Brother-in-law Donnie King and wife Maryann; two nieces Christy Snead and husband TJ and Kaye Robbins and husband Chris; great nieces Katelynn Snead, Savannah Snead, Madison Robbins, and great-nephews Jacob Snead and Jase Robbins; two sisters Diane Miller and husband Billy and Sylvia Crews; niece Sylvia Seamons; great niece Colby Seamons. Special friends Maryann Satterfield and Betty Kramer.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Crews, Sr., and his mother, Sarah Crews, Brother Larry Crews.

Bobby was born December 7, 1944, in Campbell County, VA. He spent his life as a devoted Deacon and Sunday school director of Ellis Creek Baptist Church. Bobby retired from Davenport Energy after 40 years of service to his loyal customers. Bobby was a family man. He was an avid NASCAR fan and spent many Saturday nights at South Boston Speedway. 

A funeral service will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Ellis Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Ward officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at his home.
