Lillie Frances Martin

Lillie Frances Martin of Drakes Branch, VA passed away April 8, 2024 at the age of 84.  She was born in Halifax County on January 2, 1940 to the late William Lewis Peck and the late Hallie Mosie Seamster Peck Hodge and was raised by her late grandmother Ethel Estelle Peck.   She was married to the late John Henry Martin.

She was a member of Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church.  Lillie worked and retired from Clover Yarns after many years of dedicated service.  She enjoyed growing and caring for her flowers and she especially loved spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dave Moreno and Rev. Mary Tharpe officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Powell Funeral Home from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. and other times at the home of Cecil Ray Martin, 2055 Grubby Rd, Halifax.
